#SpendLikeItMatters at businesses owned by Latinx, Hispanic, Latino/a-identifying communities as part of your Latinx Heritage Month 2023 celebration!
To create our Latinx Heritage Month design, we worked with Tacoma-based artist, Elexia Johnson, who is also the brilliance behind the beautiful branding for El Sueñito Brewing Company.
In her own words, “As a multidisciplinary designer with nearly 10 years of experience, I find great purpose in using my creative skills to uplift minority voices. I immensely enjoyed partnering with The Intentionalist on their Latinx Heritage Month campaign because of their mission to spotlight underrepresented communities. This deeply resonates with me as a Black and Mexican woman and inspired me to craft visuals that give a sense of celebration. For this campaign, I drew inspiration from the love and vibrancy within my own community to create visuals with a soft, celebratory aesthetic. This project allowed me to experiment with one of my alternative styles, while also supporting a cause I believe in. Connecting with minority business owners and helping them share their stories through design is incredibly rewarding. I’m looking forward to our continued collaboration and am excited about the opportunity to keep empowering marginalized communities through creative expression and effective marketing.”
We’ve teamed up with Seattle Mariners, Seattle Storm, Seattle Sounders FC, OL Reign, Seattle Seahawks, and Seattle Kraken to encourage fans and friends to explore and #SpendLikeItMatters in support of the Latinx-owned small businesses at the heart of our communities.

Upload your receipts when you #SpendLikeItMatters at small Latinx-owned businesses, and you’ll get a chance to win prizes from some of your favorite Seattle sports teams. Seattle Kraken, Seattle Sounders FC, Seattle Storm, Seattle Seahawks, OL Reign, Seattle Mariners, and Intentionalist want to encourage the community to buy from local Latinx-owned small businesses throughout Latinx Heritage Month and beyond.
