Sisters Adama Jammeh and Oumie Sallah opened Afella Jollof Catering in 2019 as part of the Food Innovation Network’s Spice Bridge food hall. Adama and Oumie were born and raised in Gambia and specialize in making Senegambian cuisine, a culinary mix of flavors from Senegal and Gambia. Everything at Afella Jollof Catering is cooked fresh and handmade down to the spices they use in their recipes. Afella means “tastes good” in the Serer language and jollof is the name of one of the tribes in Gambia and Senegal.

Pro tip: Try their signature dish, jollof rice!
