There are so many ways to celebrate small businesses in your community and Intentionalist is here to make that easier for you. Here’s some of the many ways you can be intentional in your 2021 holiday celebrations:

Small Business Voucher Booklets

Chinatown-International District small business voucher booklet

For our Chinatown-International District Voucher Booklet, we’ve teamed up with Seattle Sounders FC to bring you delicious offerings across Chinatown, Japantown, and Little Saigon. Each voucher is good for an eat or a treat from a small business like a mini cheesecake Hood Famous Cafe + Bar, salmon musubi from Maneki, a bahn mi from Chuminh Tofu, and many more.

Thanks to the Central Area Collaborative and Seattle Sounders FC, our Central District Voucher Booklet takes you on a culinary tour throughout the Central District neighborhood and features items from restaurants and eateries like Hood Sushi from Communion, a Honey Butter Chicken Sandwich from Fat’s Chicken and Waffles, and poke from Seattle Fish Guys

We’ve also expanded our Coffee Like It Matters Voucher Booklet, so you can now get an espresso drink from Black Coffee Northwest and Mixed Coffee in addition to a dozen other PoC-owned coffee shops like Boon Boona and Off The Rez Cafe. Give the gift of caffeination this holiday season!

All voucher booklet sales directly support the participating small businesses. These thoughtful gifts let you support your local communities while you treat your loved ones (or yourself!) to a tasty bite to eat.

Community Blend Coffee

Intentionalist has partnered with Fulcrum Coffee to create Community Blend coffee. Each bag of Community Blend coffee includes whole beans from Costa Rica, Ethiopia, Colombia, and East Java, roasted by Fulcrum.

We created this special blend because we believe that connections between people and cultures strengthen the social fabric of our communities — in fact, we couldn’t have made this without our community connections! Enjoy Community Blend as a celebration of diverse people and as a reminder that everyday decisions about where we eat, drink and shop are an opportunity to make new connections and build community.

Support two LGBTQ+ and POC owned businesses in one with this collaboration. We are incredibly excited to work with Fulcrum Coffee, one of our oldest small-business partners and winner of The 2021 Eater Awards Best Coffee Roaster.

Home for the Holidays

Intentionalist is proud to partner with the City of Seattle to promote downtown restaurants and retail small businesses, highlighting BIPOC, women, and LGBTQ+ – owned businesses to make it easy to eat, drink, and shop local this holiday season! We’ve made a Home for the Holidays online map to help you  find and support small businesses throughout the downtown core.

Looking to pair the Home for the Holidays events calendar with support for local businesses? Check out our recommendations for small businesses to visit before and after the events!

Bonus: Thanks to support from the City of Seattle, use the code “HOMESEA” to receive 20% off gift certificates via Intentionalist from businesses in Belltown, Downtown, Pioneer Square, and Chinatown-International District!

Holiday Marketplace and Holiday Business Directory

Keep in mind that small business gift cards make great gifts. With Intentionalists’s gift certificate marketplace you can purchase certificates from over 100 individual businesses. Many of the options for sale are physical gift certificates, which are sent to you by mail.

We’ve also compiled a Holiday Business Directory where you can explore and find new small businesses to support.

Intentionalist Gift Guides

This year we’ve made it easier to spend like it matters as you check off your holiday shopping list with 8 curated gift guides full of incredible products from small businesses. Not only are these gifts inspiring, so are the business owners behind them.

Shop Small Seattle

In addition to our gift guides, we’ve created a Guide on Apple Maps to help you shop small in Seattle this season and every season. This guide is a list of our favorite Seattle small retail businesses.

Gift Cards

Intentionalist gift cards are a great way to give the gift of intentional spending all year round, but this season check out our special Warm Wishes holiday design to add some flare to your gifting.
