Intentionalist and the Seattle Kraken have expanded their relationship to recognize local businesses as a part of the Kraken Common Thread program – the team’s commitment to inclusivity and diversity in the sport of hockey. Whether you are watching a game from home, coming to a game at Climate Pledge Arena, or learning to skate at the Kraken Community Iceplex, the Seattle Kraken are dedicated to creating a space that is welcoming to all fans. By celebrating the differences in cultures and identities throughout the PNW, they foster a culture of inclusivity, with a particular focus on welcoming communities that traditionally have not had access to the game.
One of their most recognized programs within Common Thread is their artist jersey series. Every season, the Seattle Kraken select local artists to create interpretations of their primary and secondary logos that are used on specialty jerseys. The logos are incorporated into community events, specialty merchandise, and utilized throughout the arena as a part of a dedicated theme night within the season.
2025-26 Theme Night Schedule
- Hispanic Heritage Night: October 28, 2025
- Indigenous Peoples Night: December 16, 2025
- Pride Night: January 8, 2026
- AANHPI Night: January 29, 2026 – Tickets Available
- Black Hockey History Night: February 28, 2026 – Tickets Available
- Women in Hockey: March 10, 2026 – Tickets Available
- Green Night: April 2, 2026 – Tickets Available
For each of these nights, there is a full arena takeover that features the artwork that is created by the local artist – ensuring every fan has the opportunity to celebrate inclusivity in hockey. Additionally, there are concourse activations, intermission performances, and other in-arena experiences that fans can engage with.
As an opportunity to continue the celebration surrounding the night, Intentionalist has selected seven local businesses that tie to each of these theme nights. The Intentionalist and Seattle Kraken visited with the owners to host a photo shoot wearing the specialty jerseys that were created. Both organizations prioritize community and are grateful to cultivate relationships with people within the area that influence, shape, and serve as ambassadors for Intentionalist and the Kraken.
The Seattle Kraken and Intentionalist encourage the community to visit each of the businesses that were recognized below as well as joining in on the remaining Kraken Common Thread Theme Nights for the 2025 – 2026 Season.
