We’re proud to support black-owned businesses all year long.

When it comes to the Intentionalist journey to date, black-owned businesses have featured prominently. Several of the first handful of business owners we met back when we first started out were Lillian Rambus, owner of Simply Soulful, Tracy Gates, owner of Busy Bee Café, and Donna Moodie, owner of Marjorie.

Two years later, it has been awesome to learn that the platform and community we’ve built is connecting folks to black-owned businesses in Seattle (and beyond), highlighting the many ways that local businesses are so much more than the products and services they sell.

“Intentionalist is a vital resource for connecting communities – not only within your own demographics and industry, but especially to search for and support other communities and businesses. My team and I used Intentionalist while planning our numerous Black History Month Celebration events, particularly for The Soul of Seattle. We are thankful that Intentionalist exists and proud to be a part of the Intentionalist community.” – Edouardo Jordan
