Latinx Heritage Month - Put It On Our Tab

Latinx Heritage Month is a time to celebrate the diversity of Latinx, Hispanic, and Latino-identified cultures and communities. We are excited to partner with Seattle Sounders FC to invite soccer and small business fans to explore food from the Latin American countries represented on the team as we host $250 tabs at restaurants throughout the Greater Seattle area.

Enjoy FREE eats and treats on us, please order and tip generously!

Note: Offers will be posted each week and are only available when ordering in-person or over the phone.

FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 17TH

El Parche Colombiano (Colombia) – Delicious Colombian food and a happy, sunny atmosphere await you at El Parche Colombiano. Whether you’re hoping for a quick lunch or a full-course meal, you’re bound to have a spectacular time along with always amazing cocktails. Owner Mario Medina and his family have been making guests feel right at home since 2013. The authentic Columbian restaurant serves critically acclaimed empanadas, pollo asado served with yucca frita, arepas, and rice, as well as churrasco — a New York steak butterfly-cut marinated and grilled to perfection served with patacones, green salad, rice, and a side of chimichurri sauce.

Offer: Enjoy an order of empanadas on us – just let them know you’d like to put it on the Sounders FC x Intentionalist tab and show them the “Diversidad, Communidad” graphic in the business listing.

Salvadorean Bakery (El Salvador) – Originally from El Salvador, sisters Ana Castro and Aminta Elgin founded Salvadorean Bakery and Restaurant in 1996. From pupusas and tamales to conchas and cookies, they provide the El Salvadorean population in Seattle a taste of home, and share their country’s baked goods and culinary traditions with the broader community.

Antigua Guatemala (Guatemala) – Antigua Guatemala is the Greater Seattle area’s only restaurant specializing in traditional Guatemalan cuisine. Owners Wilfredo Lopez and Yadira Reyes opened their restaurant in Kent after having a hard time finding the food they grew up eating in Guatemala. Since opening in 2019, Yadira and Wilfredo have been serving the country’s classic meals, like pepian — a Mayan recipe made with chicken smothered in a hearty, rich tomato-based sauce.

Offer: Enjoy an appetizer sampler – one pupusa and one enchilada Guatemalteca on us – just let them know you’d like to put it on the Sounders FC x Intentionalist tab and show them the “Diversidad, Communidad” graphic is the business listing.

Don Luchos (Peru) – After six years of service as a food truck, Carlo Chalisea opened a restaurant in Maple Leaf in 2019. With a little help from his mother’s Peruvian recipes and much time spent researching street food in Peru, his recipes have earned him much acclaim. You’ve got the chicharron, yuca veggie, lomo saltado, and wood fired rotisserie chicken sandwiches to choose from — each as delicious as the next.

Offer: Enjoy a Lomo Saltado Sandwich or a Yuca Veggie Sandwich on us – just let them know you’d like to put it on the Sounders FC x Intentionalist tab and show them the “Diversidad, Communidad” graphic in the business listing.

Kitanda – Capitol Hill (Brazil) – Kitanda was started as a corner store by Joao and Rose Boff in 1998, selling Brazilian groceries, cassette tapes of Brazilian music, and some tasty snacks. Erica Bueno, Joao’s stepdaughter, now helps run the business which has evolved into a bakery and cafe. Despite how much Kitanda has changed, it has stayed true to its Brazilian roots. Kitanda uses only Brazilian coffee beans and serves many of Joao and Rose’s favorite foods from Brazil.

El Rinconcito – Yakima on 1st (Mexico) – In 1997, Lupe Guzmán and Abel Brambila decided they wanted to bring traditional Mexican food to Washington. From the beginning, the vision for their restaurant El Rinconsito has been to provide awesome food and to build a company based on quality and customer satisfaction. El Rinconsito is a fast paced and family oriented establishment, serving your favorite Mexican dishes – from tacos and nachos to delicious specialties, seafood, and desserts.

Mixed Coffee (Ecuador) – Savannah Jackson dreamt of sharing her family, food, music, art, and nerdiness so that kids that look like her and her siblings see themselves running a business, being a little silly, nerding out on video games, movies, and enjoying delicious foods and drinks from a variety of cultures in one space. Mixed Coffee is that dream realized. She invites you to visit her space and feel the love and warmth she wants to impart. Savannah and the Mixed Coffee team strive to bring together a mixed community through high quality coffee, teas, and foods.
